Paul & Beth Cross

Honduras is a country known for bananas and coffee. It is about the size of the state of Ohio with a population of almost 7 million people. The average income is about $700 a year. Missionaries Paul and Beth Cross arrived in Honduras almost 45 years ago. At that time there were approximately 50 CAM (Central American Mission) churches. Today there are over 400 churches preaching the gospel. Church planting and development in rural areas is at the center of the Cross’ heart.

Our Summer 2009 mission

to serve God in our own Community

CenterPoint Loves Their Community

The people from CenterPoint, a contemporary, growing church, count it an honor to serve their community.  Historically, their annual mission trips have been international (Mexico, Honduras, etc…), but not this year. They decided to do a missions project to their own community, Eatonville. Each participant, student or adult, had to raise their own funds, a total of $300 each, to be part of the team

that served the citizens of Eatonville for an entire week ending on July 3rd.

“It was an exhilarating time of beautifying the town and helping many” said Pastor Jonathan. The High School Cruiser stadium was painted inside and out, many curbs in town were painted, using all the paint that was available.  The Mill Pond park was weeded and twenty yards of beauty bark applied, several local parks were cleaned up and trees trimmed, and many individuals given a “hand up” with home repairs and yard work, etc… It was an amazing experience to serve with our young people and demonstrate God’s love for us to others, by being His hands and feet to the Town of Eatonville.

A special “Thank You” to all who participated!
